pburt
Does anyone know how to replace the door mirror glass without breaking the plastic surround? I assume there's a knack, so don't want to risk brute force! Cheers Peter Burt
David Lynch
Thin bladed knife into the join between front and back pieces (bottom of surround is best place to start in case it marks). It will just click out (there should be a few tiny indents where the clips are). The glass is held to back piece by sticky tabs too. 1.4K SS 😬 Job hunting and smiling
mav
You'll do well to find the glass used in the mirrors locally. According to my bro who works in the auto glasss industry it is of eastern european origin and is a mm or two thinner than you'll usually find over here. The outer does indeed click on / off... pburt
Thanks for these tips. The glass is in fact intact but rattles around something wicked - I guess the sticky pads are unstuck, or it's the thin glass syndrome. Cheers again.
