Dave B
Am thinking of changing to 15" wheels. Car is 1989supersrint with flared wings. Have stack tach timer so speed calibration no prob. Has anyone any thoughts on benefits or downsides to this conversion. Cheers Dave B
Area Representative bluenose Posted June 21, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted June 21, 2007 Benefits Downsides, more unsprung weight, dampers have to work harder, ride comfort will suffer due to stiffer tyre side walls of lower profile tyres. Other than that no problems
Mark Durrant
Tyres will also be more expensive

john aston
Benefit of course is the huge improvement in aesthetics- forget all this techy stuff .
robert green
Tyres more expensive I have always found the 15" tyres very cheap compared to other sizes as it is a high volume tyre which used on many tin tops. Toyos at £40 a corner etc etc. Are 13" cheaper still?
Area Representative bluenose Posted June 21, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted June 21, 2007 Don't think tyre prices differ much between 13" and 15". Probably 13" will get more expensive as time goes by, no new cars seem to run less than 15" nowadays.
