sjmmarsh Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 One of the rivnuts on the top of my pedal box has come loose and is spinning round. Is there an easy way of getting it to stay put again? I have a rivnut tool, but the existing rivnuts look different as there is hardly any 'flange' on the top of the pedal box, presumably to allow a snug fit for the top when it is fitted. Am I likely to have problems if I just replace it? Steve
I.Mupferit Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 If it isn't too loose you can try pulling it up a bit more with your Rivnut pliers. I usually put a drop of Loctite on the shoulders of a rivnut before fitting, to prevent just this sort of thing from occurring. You may be able to run a drop into the loose one before pulling it up which will, hopefully, resolve the problem for you. Brent 2.3 DURATEC SV Reassuringly Expensive R 417.39 😬

sjmmarsh Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 Doh!!! Thanks guys. It worked. I should have said "I have a rivnut tool, but I don't know how it works" 😳 Steve Edited by - sjmmarsh on 1 Nov 2006 13:20:32
