timbo Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I'm thinking of running the cosworth YD0200 forged piston on the std 2.3 rod.... any thoughts here guys? (JJ & I have our own evaluation of whats entailed but I want to hear thoughts from others at this stage) Caterham list for the CSR200 'sintered forged rods & cast pistons'... anybody know what these are and who supplies? SV 2.3 Duratec and for the last time, no it is not a truck
timbo Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 thats exactly what I thought.... if so they use the std 2.0 piston raising compression to 12.1. Is this the compression for the CSR200? SV 2.3 Duratec and for the last time, no it is not a truck
simonbell Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Tim if you are going to chnage to forged pistons do the decent thing and get the steel rods......................either leave it as it is or go for the full monty Simon Bell - Caterham 7 Duratec R I`ve seen the future.....and it`s powered by duratec Check out the website here

Dobuy Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Found these on ebay here However I would not use them on standard rods, seems a bit pointless to strip your engine and not change the rods on a 2.3. I got my rods & pistons from Raceline, who got them from SBD (SBD H Beam Con Rods £594.00). There are also these rods here which are a bargain. The same company does pistons at $475.
