DaveMorris Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 You can also pick up a "multigasket" for thermostat housings from all/most motor factors (incl Halfords) Dave
Normans_Ghost Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 If your really stuck: a corn flake packet, cut out external shape, place on housing which is in vice and using a ball piene hammer gently tap the internal shape out. Nigel Riches Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Norm that all sounds a bit advanced for someone who wants to go to a Ford dealer to get a gasket. 1982. 5 speed, clamshells. B.R.G / Ali. The True Colours.
Unclefester Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 My old A10 BSA's used to have most of the gaskets made from cereal packets.....they work a treat! Head gaskets were fashioned from the purest copper. NICE PLATE!!! 😬 😬here *eek* Edited by - Unclefester on 8 Aug 2006 21:41:27
Tyrone Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Gasket paper and a scalpel for me. The kids always nick the cereal packets for models 😬
