kevind Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 ...........everything you'll need Took it out again this weekend; glorious fun - but yes, you know who is still going on about having to park in the road so it still has to go, especially now the new car's here as well Ideal package, ideal first 7 (or second, or third....) Background - BRG, long cockpit, clamshells (but see below), live axle and 4-speed box this car originated in 1985 but has less than 26,000 miles on it an all the MOTs to back that up. But now, freshly back from being fully mapped at Track 'n Road 6 weeks ago and with dyno plots showing 161bhp 😬 it has.... Less than 1,000 miles on new James Whiting installed 1.8 Zetec short engine (£2k alone) R500 aluminium radiator Whiting 4-1 race exhaust with 7" silencer Dunnell sump, clutch and lightened competition flywheel Skimmed head with Kent Z2002 cams, twin DCOE45 Webers and Gems 3D Ignition Upper front wishbone conversion done Has been flatfloored with adjustable LEDA dampers on 2.5” springs all round. Front calipers replaced last year New battery this year Two sets of wheels - 1 with Yoko 032R and the other with Yoko 021R. FIA roll bar with high level brake light Big red starter button Oil pressure warning light Drivers Tillet and 4 point Caterham harness Full wet weather gear incl tonneau and boot cover Outside soft cover plus (unused) exterior size 3 Carcoon Also comes with spares "bundle" including heated windscreen, 8% steering rack (for planned cycle wing conversion), 3/8",1/2" & 5/8" ARBs and standard roll bar. Lots of history/bills, all MOTs, taxed till October and brand new MoT to boot. Reluctant sale but not enough time to appreciate it or space to keep it. Really easy to drive and yet with the loud pedal down will brighten up anyone's day 😬. Photos now here and the car's in Hindhead, Surrey. Please email or reply here in the first instance. kevind Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 All these viewings and no-one's tempted What am I missing ? Has to go so someone's in for a treat - price is negotiable.
kevind Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 OK - let's try the old price reduction trick. How's £8.5k sound? New engine don't forget and 161bhp to make you smile
Sheds Moderator Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Zetecs always seem to be very good value for money. If I were buying onother I'd be looking hard at a Zetec car over a K. Good luck selling, it sounds like a lovely car, an updated version of the 1980s 7 experience.

MikeK Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I wish this had been for sale when before I bought my first Seven. Great performance, reliability and value! Mine now has a similar spec to yours, but it cost me a lot of money to get there. Good luck with sale. MikeK
