Dave - LOL!

Cheers guys - I was searching your build diary Knowley and had seen that pic. it looks nice and manageable :)

Steve - Yes boxed its without the bellhousing I recall. My old 5speed will give up that part.

Does anyone have a pic of one in its crate/box? or know a part number?

Im thinking the obvious differnce between the 6 and 5 speeds is the cast Caterham top cover on the 6 speed and steel plate with Ford on the 5speed?

Cheers for your help guys. J

the 6 speed does have the cast ally top plate.

I would also suggest you simply try changing gear through the 7 ratios (inc reverse *wink*)to be sure

it weighs 27 Kg I think so he may need help to lift it .

here is C7 TOP

Mine was delivered in a cardboard box which just had 6-Speed Road on a small label.

Biggest difference is that it says CATERHAM 6-SPEED on the top plate at the front end (visible when in the car).

See some pictures of the build here. 10000 miles completed!

My Caterham 6-speed came in a cardboard box - surprisingly enough just a tad bigger than the gearbox itself *wink*

Not too heavy - easy enough for one person to pick up etc
