Area Representative Richard Price Posted July 29, 2006 Area Representative Posted July 29, 2006 I did a daft trick at Loton Park today. I braked too late for the first corner on my first practice run and glanced some armco with a rear wheel. I Damaged the wheel and broke the DeDion ear. I think I owe the biggest thank you to Mark Durrant and Andrew Jenkins, who dismantled the offending parts whilst I drove to Kenricks in Llangollen to collect a replacement ear (but I'm not sure who did what, because I wasn't there!) Also to Mark for the load of a spare wheel and tyre. This is one of the things that makes our speed championship the great championship that it is *thumbup*
martin b Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Richard Late braking, i'd never have thought that of you 😬 Sounds like your pit crew were on top form Wish I was there 🙆🏻 Martin
Mark Durrant Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Richard Pleased I could help. Martin You missed a good day but at least you have a Robbie Williams concert to look forward too Mark D Comp Sec
apjenkins Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Richard, 'Everyone' chipped in, either mechanically or verbally!! End result - Sevens on track. P.S. clipped the very same bit of armco on my first timed run and split the rear wing, U any good at fibre glass repairs???? 😬 😬 😬 @ndrew
