Neil A Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 In the process of fitting a mechanical oil pressure gauge and a Spa temp/temp gauge. What is the best way to wire up the oil pressure warning light? Was going to use the existing wiring for the electrical sender, but I have two issues, first the pressure switch is too far away from the wiring and second there is only one connection. I assume I attach the other bit of the switch to ground? Is it easier to run an extension from the old wire or run a new one? If so, where should I wire it up for power? Spa gauge. Again what is the best way to wire up for power? There are 3 wires from the back of the old gauge. Can I reuse any of these? The manual says attach to a seperate ground from the loom. Where is best? What is the best way to take care of any old wires from the old gauges? Wrap in insulating tape or heatshrink? Cheers Fellas, smoke me a kipper, I'll be blatting for breakfast.
