Creaking Watts linkage!!!

I have been plagued with a worsening creak from the rear nearside suspension for several weeks. Last night I detatched the rear dampers and found that the creak was from the top rose joint on the bellcrank of the watts linkage which was so tight to turn that it clicks and creaks.

Strangeley this was a new Caterham supplied rose bearing less than 12 months ago to replace a failed 12 month old bearing that was fitted in the build in 2004. The new bearing is thicker and looks a better quality than the failed unit but is now the one giving the trouble. Has anyone experienced similar problems in this area?

Had to replace one on my R400 at 4000 miles, no real wet use of the car, so could not be corrosion *thumbdown*

 

Mine was clicking not creaking though.
