Should be, I've got one sat in a MG-Rover branded box at home. A good motor factor should have original or equivalent parts.

Project BUMBLEBEE lives on!

: Hmm, I'm not convinced...

I've note had much problem bleeding my (heaterless) k - and all of the recent stats I've fitted already have a small (2mm-ish) hole. My current stat has a much larger hole with a bobble-valve and on a cool/cold day, the engine runs some 10-degrees cooler than the stat rating.

Might just be a duff stat, opening too eagerly, but my suspicion is that the 'bleed' hole is allowing enough flow for the (rather efficient) Radtec to overcool the engine.

Another data point - when I fitted my new engine I installed an 82 stat (from Eliseparts) . In this I drilled two 3mm holes. Very easy to bleed down (but then I have no heater), and the engine sits at 80C , even yesterday in the heat. It does take a little longer to warm up though. I have the standard Ali rad.
