Windscreen stone chip repair

Anyone know if THB Eggar Lawson provide free stonechip repair? My previous tintop had a chip fixed for free - I guess the insurance company figures you're less likely to need to claim if they help you fix it!

Hi Darren -

 

It depends, on whether you have renewed recently or not. If you have, they now allow glass cover or the free trackday cover, but not both.

Den - I renewed in October, and don't recall any mention of the choice being offered at that point. I'm not intending to claim - if they don't do free repairs then I'll find a repair place as I believe the windscreen should be fine as it's a tiny chip.

I renewed in March and it was a choice then. You had to sign a form stating which of the two options you wanted.

 

Guess as you haven't signed such a form, you have both

Apparently I can get the cost of a minor windscreen repair refunded under insurance without affecting anything else.
