Hi Jon - I was out that way last night on my way to the Griffin at Fletching, which is just off the A26, near Uckfield, with my "better half"

I am ali / green but not a "Q"reg so I don't know if it was me you saw.

We were around there about at 6.45.

Are you going to the Ringlestone Inn tomorrow - if so I will see you there

Definitely not you then as was a Q plate and only one person in the car.

What's the Griffin like as I think it will be my future local (ish) pub?

Catch up with you tomorrow Jon. The Griffin is great to sit out in the beer garden around the back when the evening sun lights up the whole of the fantastic view. Often get hot air balloons drifting over as well, so good for a chill

I enjoyed an impressive BBQ at The Griffin a few years ago - I seem to remember that as well as various cuts of lamb, beef and venison (I think), whole snapper and sea bass were also on offer. And doesn't Prince C. pop in there from time to time?

Definitely up for that! I'm afraid I can't make it to the Ringlestone Inn tonight (apologies for the delayed response), but if either of you (or anybody else) is interested in a trip to The Griffin (or elsewhere) tomorrow night or on Saturday (and I'm happy to take advantage of the hopefully clear roads during the football), say the word.
