The tensioner is on the left of this I believe. There is no apparent adjustment and looks fixed as an idler. As my thread includes this engine is a Ford 1.6 Sigma.
I thought it was but wanted to make sure it was nothing more complex. There is a movement in it and wish to replace it. Doesnt seem to be listed in CC parts on web.
Have you googled the part numbers on the front of the pulley? Probably a ford part rather than caterham!
My Porsche 996 has three steel idler pulleys that are £60 each - they all contain the same standard size bearing which is £18 each so its a cheap swap for anyone mechanically minded with a vice / press.
Looks like a sprung tensioner to me.

guide pulley to reduced slap on long belt runs, they are also often used to increase belt to pulley surface area contact, by increasing wrap around.

I think 36E306A is the part you are after on the Caterham site
it is just the belt tensioner and can be removed easily. Mine was rattling a lot so i just peened over the edges to take up the slack. Easy and cheap!
Thanks gentlemen for your help.

Anyone know the torque setting for the pulley centre bolt and also the nuts holding the tensioner to the block please.

I couldn't find any torque figures when i did mine, so just did them tight! It is a non-stressed part so no issues.
