Iamscotticus
UPDATE:I did get a scoop. I will still be interested in others as well.Original post:I would like to buy, borrow, or obtain 3D mapping of, an original air scoop used on the bonnets of 1968- 69 Lotus Seven series 3 with downdraft carburetor. Not any off the shelf air scoop will do. The scoops used on sevens need to have a tapered point at rear and unequal length sides to fit the bonnet curvature properly. Its a very difficult item to find new made by anyone. Iamscotticus
After some difficulty getting an email through to Arch (I keep ending up in the spam) the consensus was they could possibly make a bonnet with filter hole, but it would be better to do myself to reduce error. The bubble used in the last version of "GT" offered is NLA. I can only assume the 68-69 scoop is long gone as I haven't seen any offered by Cat, not since the initial supply of Lotus spares dried up in early 70s. I gathered Arch is able to produce a plain bonnet, but thats it.A for the redundant post, yea, I'm just annoying like that. I could have bumped the old one if I had looked.
