7 wonders of the world
Just swopped my MOD26 260mm for a MOD27 flat bottomed wheel, only 10mm bigger but does have a nicer feel and affords better view of my shift lights too.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 21, 2023 Leadership Team Share Posted May 21, 2023 Regarding a spacer it's not necessary, just loosen the upper-lower column clamp, adjust it to where you need it and re-tighten.
chrisr1718
I swapped my 260 for a 280 and much prefer it. Feels more comfortable and more control. Still got plenty of knee room, but mine is an SV.BTW, I'm based in Guildford, Surrey.
Tazio
I run a suede 290mm wheel and quick rack, for me it's perfect, I do have lowered floors too so knee room is ok.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 22, 2023 Member Share Posted May 22, 2023 If you can't find one this way how about:• Turning up with a tape measure somewhere with lots of Sevens and lots of goodwill... a Club Area Meeting or a Seven specialist garage?• Making a life-size replica out of ? cardboard?JonathanPS: How Moto-Lita measure steering wheels. ACFowles
I went for a larger wheel and got a moto-lita spacer from eBay to give me a bit more clearance for the old knees. Another option is a wheel with dished spokes, or a combination of the two
