Paul D
I am on the search for a pair of rear light glass covers that (centre to outside) are red-red-clear.I have the JAL LED rear lights and currently have the clear-red-clear glass that comes with them (like the picture below), but I dislike how pink the LED brake lights are.I still have the original light glass in the parts box but I found it impossible to separate to get the red brake-light side apart, and don't want to go back to the yellow indicator glass by using the whole original glass unit.Has anybody seen a red-red-clear glass I can buy off-the-shelf? simon_h
They've only ever been available as a home brew I think. Time to get brave and break the dremel out. Tbh the clear indicator looks a bit rubbish to me as well. Better with the proper coloured lense
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 26, 2023 Leadership Team Share Posted May 26, 2023 I have some somewhere that will be available but you might need to bear with me, we've recently moved house! Some years ago a club member arranged to have the lens supplier supply the various components to enable the lenses to be made up as you need, IIRC I bought two full sets but have never used them. I'll start digging over the weekend.Stu.
GordonW
Stu, if you've got 2 sets I would like one of them if possible. Thanks Gordon.

22daz
I managed to do this by splitting both a clear and standard set. I think they look better and as my red brake light bulb showed pink on MOTs it was constantly scraping through. It does take lots of patience but can be done. The two halves are glued and slot together. The reflector part sticks over the join. 22daz
7 wonders of the world
Any of the rear lights using coloured bulbs are p!ss poor, they mat look great in the car park but try following a car with them in daylight - utterly shocking.I would look at alternatives that afford you less chance of getting @rse ended

Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 3, 2023 Leadership Team Share Posted November 3, 2023 Yes I did Paul then promptly forgot about them! I’d be happy to part with a pair (left and right) for the same price as Caterham sell the clear ones for, I’ve not checked yet though. They just need the two halves of each bonding together with the reflector. All 3 components on each are new/unused obviously. Stu.
