Polishing an Exhaust

I have a K series 1.8 2004 with a large exhaust. I paid once to have it polished up but now it needs another polish. Does anyone have any good advice how to polish it ? Method,materials etc

I bought one of these kits, with electric drill mounted polishing mops & different grades of polishing compound.

It was very effective & I managed to get a good finish reasonably quickly. I find you have to redo it periodically however, to maintain the shine.

Thanks Nigel may give that a go. Did you get much trouble with compound spraying out from the polishing wheel?

The compound is thick & waxy, so it tends to stay on the mop. Strands of cotton from the mops do fly about a bit, but I found them reasonably easy to tidy up!

You'll have to remove the exhaust, but that's easy enough and the results are great.

Done mine a few times now. Recommended.
