Acer
I have a K series 1.8 2004 with a large exhaust. I paid once to have it polished up but now it needs another polish. Does anyone have any good advice how to polish it ? Method, materials etcMany thanks :)
Nigel B
I bought one of these kits, with electric drill mounted polishing mops & different grades of polishing compound. It was very effective & I managed to get a good finish reasonably quickly. I find you have to redo it periodically however, to maintain the shine.https://www.thepolishingshop.co.uk/polishing-kits/steel-stainless-steel-polishing-kits/steel-stainless-steel-kits-for-drills
Acer
Thanks Nigel may give that a go. Did you get much trouble with compound spraying out from the polishing wheel?
Nigel B
The compound is thick & waxy, so it tends to stay on the mop. Strands of cotton from the mops do fly about a bit, but I found them reasonably easy to tidy up!
LouisFeakes
I bought a bench mounted one - link below.https://metalpolishingsupplies.co.uk/collections/metal-polishing-machines/products/silverline-6-150w-bench-grinder-polisher-with-pro-max-4-metal-polishing-kitYou'll have to remove the exhaust, but that's easy enough and the results are great.Done mine a few times now.
