ViolentG
Does anyone know where I can find a decent diagram, manual, or something for the type 3 gearbox? I've tried Cortina and Capri workshop manuals which are no help. The best I found so far are a couple of unlabeled drawings on www.bearingkits.co.uk but they're not that helpful. The gearbox is having a hard time shifting into 4th. It seems to be a little smoother if I slam it over to the right side so maybe its a selector fork issue? Removing the shift lever didn't reveal anything so I don't think I can see a damn thing without taking out the engine and entire gearbox so hoping maybe a detailed diagram will help me diagnose a little before committing to removing everything. ViolentG
No it's the single rail version of the 2000E gearbox
ViolentG
Yes that is the correct gearbox but unless I'm missing something other than some parts there isn't a "guide"

OldAndrewE
Sorry, that was only to identify the box. I did not intend to imply it was a guide. I probably have something on the 3 rail version of the 2000E box if that is any use
