Hi again, many thanks for everyone's help in the ongoing 3 month rego' saga in Melbourne VIC.

If there's anyone out there as per title -  soooo next manoeuvere, - a 2005, Caterham SV with 1800 K series engine, fully roadworthied would I be able to get her onto club plates in Melbourne?

My understanding is that many kit cobras do so because they are basically a  replica of original Cobra...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi timb,  I am based in Qld at the moment but Victorian born and bred.  I am in a few car clubs and most offer club rego options.  Disclaimer, i pay full rego because i don't want the added hassle of club rego restrictions if and when they start enforcing them.

I believe all you need to do is join an appropriately authorised club and the club gives the car a once over and they will advise you on how to go about club registering the car. I do know that the club rego is conditional on a few things one of which is you have to remain a member of the club that you got your club rego through.

I'm not sure how they do it but there are a few Victorian Club registered cars running around up here on the Sunshine coast.
