Neil220
Having had mini coopers for 50+ years my toolkit is AF biased! I have plenty of metric spanners but sockets are a bit limited. I need a 30mm socket to fix a friends shower unit. Is there a need for a 30mm socket on a 1996 K series engine? If so happy to buy one, only £6 If not I'll try to borrow one. ScottR400D
You don't have a 1-3/16" socket then?
revilla
I've never found anything that takes a 30mm socket on a K Series I'm afraid.
Nigel Fox
The flywheel bolt on a verto clutch mini is 30mm.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 2, 2022 Leadership Team Share Posted January 2, 2022 "The flywheel bolt on a verto clutch mini is 30mm"I'd conveniently eradicated that information from my head after my last battle with a verto flywheel Stu. oilyhands
A 30mm socket is the size perfect to drift home a cam oil seal or front crank seal on a K series.Oily
revilla
Well there you go then! I've just got a short length of aluminium tube I use ... But I probably paid more for that than I would have for a 30mm socket! You now have your excuse to buy :)
