humber.jpg.197d53f5f4ca1640636cf7def44366bf.jpg A Humber Sceptre - the upwardly mobile version of post # 1 Hillman Hunter . The one I saw was Peacock blue , immaculate , someone's pride and joy but testament to the ghastly badge engineering of the late Sixties. Tack a  bit of chrome on the front of what we used to call a repmobile , glue  a slice of wood on the dash and it's instant Terry and June . Hideous .

Secma QT500.  I thought at first glance that the badge said "Smegma" which is... unfortunate.

505cc engine "limited to 21bhp".

Dimensions    Length - 2400mm, width - 1400mm, height - 1100mm, gross weight - 398Kg
Top speed    110 mph  *yikes*
Fuel tank capacity    21 litres (4.6 gallons)

Cool! And quite a contrast to this 1950s car (below).

Today, as I was driving through Gamlingay, I spotted this.

I thought a P4 pretty unusual and unlikely to be outdoors and up on axle stands.

Imagine my surprise when I realised that a second was just inside the adjacent fence.
