Anglesey - Saturday Night Meal

Away from the drama of the Anglesey Garage acquisition, and the excitement of the Charlie C Disco (playing garage and probably some grime too - sorry, I can't help it), here is the announcement you have all been waiting for.

As in previous years, it seems only right that we should end the season with a get together over a decent meal and a few drinks. The Oyster Catcher restaurant at Rhosneigr will be happy to welcome us on Saturday (2nd October) night, and would now like to know how many of us wish to attend. They think they may struggle to cater for more than 32, so please respond to this post to register your interest, and if necessary, there will be a first-come-first-served cut-off.

A full menu will be available, and individuals/couples will pay their own bill. I suggest meeting in the bar from 7.00pm, with a sit-down at 7.30.

This has been a great night out in past years, so I expect the same this year. I'm putting my name down for a place, and I hope a few more of you might join me.

Thank you all, we now have 33 for the Oyster Catcher next Saturday,  so everyone who has posted will be there (C Wilson and plus one will need to squeeze their elbows in).

They have asked if we can have staggered sit-down times, 7.00pm and 7.30, to help them to cope with service, so during Saturday we will arrange who goes first - slowest eaters, slowest 64ft time... whatever.

I'm looking forward to it.

Each time I've spoken to the Oyster Catcher crew, they've been keen to stress that they would have difficulty serving more than 32 (or two groups of 16) on a Saturday night, and I agreed that we would limit numbers. Jon and Charlotte, and Phil, you are on the reserve list.

If anyone is unable to make the Anglesey weekend (perhaps for fuel availability reasons), please post, and then we can offer the place. That's assuming that the rival Garage Disco doesn't prove too tempting.
