We are all set for a group effort on Saturday at the Concours ..... not sure any dogs are involved - ironic that the weather is looking good so we won't need half hoods but it will add a nice extra activity into the morning and we will send the fastest time (with video evidence) to James

See you at the Ace Cafe and or Hare and Hounds in Osterley

Had a right good laugh doing this today at home with the family watching/timing etc. After the 3rd timed run I was knackered! Go for it everybody, it's for a damned good cause........and next time it starts raining out of the blue, you'll be glad of the practice :-)

We did the PCR Hoodie challenge at the London Concours on Saturday- great fun and useful as well

The winner of the fastest half hood challenge on the day was Gary Jacobs in his 2001 K Series road sport. He won a £50 voucher for a brewery tour of the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick. Having discovered he had three water leaks and a non-operational fan he also had his car repaired by James Whiting and Bob Baker so a good day all round for Gary and he gets the chance to win the Bluetooth headset.....

James thanks for organising such a great challenge.

I have to admit that I thought putting the half hood on under a minute would be a doddle. Some goes later I changed my mind. Eventually I think I did it but the camera operator missed the start......... to avoid a divorce I calmly suggested another go.

Fabulous fun challenge for a great cause and I am now confident that I will just get wet not soaked when I next get caught in the rain.

Thank you for the donations so far and for the entries.

If you are thinking about entering please do it really is a lot of fun.

The PCR Hoodie Challenge came about because Jason says I'm slow at putting my half hood on. We have to have a race to see who is fastest then don't we? To make it more interesting we had a side bet of the camping fees for the night.

Here is a link to the video and here is a link to my Just Giving Page which has details on how to enter. Please donate if you like the videos, but don't want to enter.

Thanks

James

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder that the end date of the PCR Hoodie Challenge is 31st October 2022 so not long left to enter.

I would like to say a big thank you for all of the donations on my Just Giving Page and to all of the entries so far.

The total raised for the clubs charity Prostate Cancer Research (PCR) so far is £965.00 which is brilliant and very close to my £1,000.00 target.

All of the details on how to enter are on my Just Giving Page and don't forget by donating you get a 10% discount code(valid until 31/10/2022) for Just Add Lightness who is the sponsor for the challenge. I would like to say a big thank you to JAL for sponsoring the challenge and if you are thinking about buying some products from JAL then maybe now is the time with the 10% discount code? I've used it to buy another 3rd level break light which I've made a video on here.

Also the winner of the challenge will get a Bluetooth Pro-Com Headset worth £448.00!!! which I personally own and is a great addition to any Caterham. There will also be some small prizes given to the funniest video and things like that due to the great total raised so far.

Don't forget to keep an eye on my YouTube channel ACaterhamCalledFern where I will announce the winner and there will be a compilation video of a few clips of the challenge. If you would like to subscribe then you will see when new videos come out and it would really help me out.

I know a few people are unsure if to do the challenge and as you can see from the comments above everyone has enjoyed doing the challenge even if they were unsure. Plus it's good practice for when it does rain when you are out and about.

Thanks

James
