Re cleaning - I didn't remove any panels and had some success with an old style wire coat hanger, cut to make a long length then bent an L shape at the end. I then poked this down the gap to drag the detritus out being careful not to jam it at the bottom between the chassis and sideskin and distort the ally. I did have the engine out which made access much easier. Also used the Henry hoover with slim attachment.
I'm planning on using a powerful car dryer to blow out the engine bay grot traps before using Dynax UC. Was the coat hanger used in the cockpit to lever apart the interior panels?
Apologies but I'm new to Seven ownership so trying to understand how owners get down there without removing panels in the cockpit. The engine bay is relatively straightforward, from either underneath or above as far as I can see.
You can get into the grot trap from the front although you're blind to what you're doing, poke the coat hanger between the footbox and the sideskin and drag out what you can.

There's a pretty sizeable gap from the engine bay side to get a nozzle down to protect it. I used a pressure washer in there first to get as much crud out as possible and left to dry.
I used a cheap endoscope (one with a built in screen) off Amazon to take a look before and after treatment
As a bonus you can then start to look in all sorts of other places
