Cool, what build week is yours ? Mine was a week 8 (end of Feb). It passed IVA mid June.

Week 12, so hopefully just a few weeks away, IVA next week I believe. Fingers crossed all goes well. Hopefully it'll be with me before the end of the decent weather. Sure you'll be enjoying yours this weekend.

You'll need to be patient with the 'final assembly and QA' stage after the IVA.

Mine took 6 weeks. It's annoying, but it'll be worth the wait in the end !

So when I took the car to a professional detailer today he said the paintwork was fantastic, better than a lot of high-volume cars. They must be doing something right at the Factory paint shop. The ceramic coating will be straightforward, a primer and 2 layers of top.

Getting it done the week after next..

Thanks, yes I've got used to being patient now! Ceramic coating sounds like a good idea, I was planning on adding some ppf to the usual vulnerable areas.

Anyone got any suggestions for a chrome wing mirror that can fit to the sidescreens in place of the terrible standard ones ?

I'd like the sidescreens to fully open still, and convex glass would be good.

Very happy with these little gems:

Only problem is remove and fitting the bonnet is quite tricky! It takes 2 people, one on each side, to manoeuvre it around the K&Ns.

The Easy-In zips are great. I can actually get in/out of the car with the roof on in a sensible manner.

Update without saying much:

None of this delay is parts shortages  I suffered several months of those waiting on a Sierra diff *then* a bell housing  lol

My car has returned from being re-skinned and is headed to paint (again) and final assembly (again).

All I can do is lol. I'll be very happy to have my lil machine. Eventually. Ish.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@UglyFast everywhere all the time!

That's painful, but at least they are fixing all the issues. I didn't realize your car is a CSR, they haven't been available in the UK for a few years now.

So I've had my car for a week now, and I'm mostly happy with the build quality. There are a few marks on the chassis and a gash on the A-frame, but overall I think it's ok. Done a hundred miles so far, aiming to get to 500 within the next couple of weeks. It's very warm in London though, have to go out really early in the morning !
