With just two weeks to go to probably the biggest blat of the year things are looking good for another bumper weekend joining the Taffia on the best roads in Wales.
This year we've added a couple of enhancements:
We'll have dedicated photographer out on the route taking pictures throughout the day - which participants will be able to buy (with a big chunk of the purchase price going to the Club's charity - Prostate Cancer Research)
Our Pop-up campsite in Chepstow looks like it going to be really popular this year.
We've got a lot of folks stretching the event over the weekend by overnighting in and around Aberdovey - providing more opportunities to socialise and be able to spend more time enjoying up the roads and the scenery.
If you would like to take part simply come along to the start at The Piercefield, nr Chepstow on Saturday 14th May from 8.30am (we're planning to set folks off from 10.00am - after registration/briefing). Everyone will receive a road book detailing the route.
To support Prostate Cancer Research we're suggesting that each car considers donating £10. You can do this via our Just Giving page. We're hoping to raise over £1000.
Looking forward to seeing friends old and new.

Hopefully no cycle race in Aberdovey this year !

Will the road map only be available from the Piercefield, or will we get an electronic version on here beforehand (for sat nav programming purposes)?
....everything else is just waiting.
The roadbook will be available when folks register at Chepstow. There is a digital version from 2018 on the club website - it's changed very little for 2022.
Been meaning to do this for years, coming down from Yorkshire and looking forward to it!

This year will be my first Fish and Chip Run, was already looking forward to it - but even more so now having just watched the video.
See you there

BBC Says the weather is looking good
Couple of questions:
1/ Any portaloos planned at the campsite or is it totally basic, bring-your-own-trowel type thing?
2/ Does the Piercefield do breakfast or do I bring porridge and camping stove?
Looking forward to it greatly. Already test-packed the car with camping gear, oddly it seems more of a challenge than the last time I camped in the Caterham, think my kit has expanded somewhat.
Usually coffee and bacon rolls available at the Piercefield
