Don't know about the rain on Thursday (17th or 24th?) but Monday 21st produced Biblical rain. Unfortunately I had work scheduled to start at 09:00 that day to extend my drive. By 16:00 the workers were in what was essentially a clay line swimming pool.
They gave up & returned Wednesday 23rd - it rained again! They definitely gave up the game & will return Friday 25th when hopefully it is a dry day.
Thank goodness for a bilge pump !
