"I have got 5 quotes for insurance so far for 3000miles a year and no trackdays."
Welcome.
Will you want any trackday insurance? I keep mine separate from the road insurance as I tend to have several drivers on different days. But if it's just you than having it combined is currently working out cheaper.
I can add trackdays to the policy later for not very much additional premium, but I probably won't do any this year. I think it would require an upgrade to the roll bar etc. Trackdays are probably the best way to get fully to grips with a car like the 7, if my experience with motorcycle trackdays is anything to go by.
"I have got 5 quotes for insurance so far for 3000miles a year and no trackdays. 2 are in the £375 to £450 range (A-plan and Adrian Flux) , 2 are £600 - £700 (REIS and L+W) and the lowest is around £230 from Footman James (with Ageas). These seem different to other peoples experience of which is cheapest"
Do any include breakdown cover? That could swing it.
Dear lord, would you jump in my grave that quickly Jonathan...?

Just renewed:
Frank Pickles
Insurers Premium £84.07
Our Broker fee £20.00
Legal Expenses £20.00
Total Due £ 124.07
£5 more than last year. But all irrelevant for everyone else because AFAIK they aren't taking new business.

Classic line, I found the best deal this year, full breakdown cover , 6 free track days, 3000 miles = £370. (New 420R).
