I am trying to upload some pictures to for sale and I cant remember how to do it.

That's the quickest method, and probably the most commonly used now.

But it limits the resolution. This is often a problem for documents, and it's your call if you want higher resolution for photos. Other methods support higher resolution.

They're all described in the Forum User Guide, along with other hints and tips.

Two parts to this:

1 How to avoid surprise rotations and why they happen.

2 How to rotate them... I can't make the site's built-in image tools rotate an image that's already been uploaded. So I download the image, rotate it on my computer and upload the new version. I mostly work on a Mac and use Preview to do the rotation.

If you have an iPhone or iPad where the image is rotated when uploaded, just go in to edit mode on the device while holding it in the correct orientation (home button at bottom for portrait mode and at right for landscape mode), ensure the image is the orientation you want it to be viewed in, make a small change to the image such as a slight crop or brightness change and re-save it. It now should upload in the correct orientation.
