Ah I'm glad someone has got something from it! Thanks for taking the time! Ah yes the upgraditis is strong isn't it ha ha. I have tried somewhat to lessen it by trying to "sort of" factory upgrades only, so I can't get too carried away with engine and suspension etc. I quite like the theme of making a car that just looks like it's had every possible option from the factory!

Also good to hear of your planned upgrades! That will be a fun process no doubt!

ah thanks for the compliment, yes I really would love to do it now that I have found how fun and rewarding working on the car is, it must be a great feeling once it's on its wheels and driving! Hopefully I might revisit that idea when my sons are both old enough to help!

a few shots from the EVO track evening, had a great time and some lovely other bits in attendance. Half doors work well! Things are much calmer from the neck down and it feels a bit more like a single seat race car once you are in it. Also a big positive is I look less like desperate Dan half hanging out of a tiny car!

Looking sharp. Your ride height looks a bit high. Is that to prevent issues with clearance on the street? Have you considered lowering for better track performance? I found lowering mine did improve mechanical grip.

Yes I have always thought the front could do with coming down a bit, it has been flat floored by the previous owner. The rear passengers side is wound all the way down so it as low as it can go, the drivers side is about an inch higher. But I think the car has always had Far to little rake. I will be sorting it all out once I fit the race dampers and new springs I have on the shelf!

Ah yes that should do it. I have the "track" dampers, which have the same spring rates as the race dampers but an inferior damper presumably. In order to get the rear low enough, I've removed the locking collar for the spring perch and the perch is still as low as it will go. This gives me a good rake amount with my front lower control arms parallel to ground. I don't have helper springs on the rear though so the springs are very loose at full droop. Hasn't been an issue though. At this ride height, my bellhousing is about 67mm off the ground.

Ah yes that's what I have at the moment, I'm going to use the existing race springs with the new dampers. I do have a set of soft rear springs I might try later on. Ah yes the new set up has rear helper springs so that will be nice! I hate the springs rattling around when the car is jacked up!

Great pics Max. Ref the rear ride-height - there isn't a huge amount of play there with that rear-exit exhaust. I have that option  and it's easily the lowest part of my car - even with the wet-sump set-up in mine.
