Booked in already and also do check on the Caterham social media pages, as they are looking for a timeline to include lots of different Caterhams that they would like to display - I have just heard that mine has been accepted. So will be staying on the Saturday night to make a weekend of it
Lots of hotels near Donington. I heard of no problems regarding the cars when the Club had many hundred there in 2017. Do you think Caterhams are more or less vulnerable to theft than pricey tintops?

I must admit I have always been confused as to what "Caterham Friendly" might be in a hotel . They are not pets, just little cars that fit in even small parking slots and the only thing that ever bothered me, in travels all over the UK, was big speed bumps. If you want a car nicking then just buy a Range Rover - I doubt if more than a tiny number of Sevens are nicked , not having exactly mass appeal . Maybe I was foolhardy but in twenty years of ownership I only removed the steering wheel once as I looked such a bloody dipstick carrying it around .
Attended long weekend in 2017. Stayed in the Holiday Inn Express close by that the club had arranged a discount with.
As to security the club had arranged that all cars attending could park up on the 'tarmac lake' with owners/pax catching a free bus shuttle to the hotel but the walk is not that arduous.
Think I will give this a miss but will attend the club 40th.
Small matter regarding the car... kit delivery due in May so fingers crossed it can be on the road by the end of August and maybe this will be its first proper outing... eeek! Good to have a target to aim for anyhow!
Let's just say I'm an "all-in" kinda guy, so am already planning to take time out from work to do most of the build rather than trying to do it in evenings and weekends... but there's a lot of variables here and most of them I don't control, I know that; it's good to have a goal though. If you see me walking around the event looking longingly at all the other cars, that'll be because mine didn't make it!

No idea what to write here??!!!
And a track day on the Monday.
I'm thinking of going too. It's my birthday that weekend (although it is an awfully long drive).
Will the C&L7C be in the Dealers, Clubs and Stand Zone?
Can anyone recommend a hotel near the circuit with Caterham-friendly parking?
Tim.
