Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty
Thanks, Stephen. I'll give that a go.
I am now being told that it will take two weeks after the second covid vaccine for it to appear on the NHS app. This proof of vaccine is necessary for entry to France. This is needed for my grandson who will be accompanying me.This looks like delaying my return yet again!
so many traps to fall into....
The card received at the vaccine station is not acceptable
The French authorities also demand a two week period after the second vaccine is administered (presumably to make sure that it's effective)
And yes, the rules will have probably changed
"Does this mean that the validity of the document expires on 23 July?
if so it would be sensible to have a warning message to prevent people like me who prefer to be organised well in advance from accessing it too early...."
I got an answer on the QR code, and I can easily ask the developers on other aspects, and tell them about things like this. But it would help if I could have a copy of the document.
NB this only applies to England. I could try and find the opposite numbers in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland if anyone needs that.
What I can't do is say what other countries will find acceptable. The smart approach seems to be to share experiences as above. And as is noted not to assume that the rules are static over time, or consistent between countries. So please keep it coming.
GOV.UK: "NHS COVID Pass"
(includes duration of validity)
Which?: "How to use the NHS app as a Covid vaccine passport for travel"
(includes notes on Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)
And I don't think that anyone has mentioned the EU Digital COVID Certificate.
This might be of interest to:
• Members with nationality of one of the participating countries, including Ireland.• Members with right of residence in one of the participating countries (and I'd guess that France and Spain would be the most common).
It's about to go live, and if anyone has anything to share, please do. I'm especially interested in how it could work for people with Irish citizenship who have been vaccinated in the UK.
We have been vaccinated in France with 2 jabs. The French App "Anti Covid" allows you to scan your Testing and Vaccination attestations into the App by scanning the QR. The 1st vaccination we had was before the QRs rolled out but eventually the French Social Security website allowed you to upload your files.
Just recently there has been an announcement saying that the QRs and attestations were being updated to be in line with the EU wide system. That should have taken place on June 22 and should be automatic. I havent seen any news on if it was completed and cant see any difference on my data.
