Can't imagine why , but somehow I feel prompted to recommend a book I've just reviewed called Driven to Crime - True Stories of Wrongdoing in Motor Sport by Crispian Besley .. Great read .
Could be a good race with Verstappen and Leclerc making their way through.
Having said the F2 wasn't that good. Once Awasa had figured out how to defeat the DRS he never looked like losing it. A few overtakes though, with said DRS!
Yes two quick cars making there way through the field should be interesting, I'd still be surprised if Max doesn't win though. Unless Perez can really get away at the front.
Some of the commentators suggest that Ferrari may still have a tyre degradation issue in the race which could hamper Leclerc.
ALONSO . . . . . My wife who knows nothing about motorsport apart from it takes up too much space on the Virgin box hard drive comment "is F1 trying to destroy itself ?" I know rules is rules but the sport is becoming a farce (again) IMO.
UPDATE So the farce got even more farcical "But his team successfully argued there were previous examples of drivers not being penalised in such circumstances. The stewards agreed and overturned their original verdict."
Good news for Alonso though
Cowering in a dark corner waiting for some clever dick to come along to correct or criticise my spelling and grammar
#76 without a doubt. Absolutely ridiculous. It's a bloody good job the FIA don't run RU, they were fighting each other yesterday and just got a "Calm down, now....".
And the FIA doing their best to look silly again, they have now reinstated Alonso's 3rd place after the team argued there were prior examples of jacks touching cars during a penalty.
Utterly absurd rule application at the Grand Prix de Sportwashing . Pleased for Perez , Piastri impressed , if not as much as Alonso but as for the rest of the event ? Awful , dire track , and with almost zero spectators. Maybe the rest had been banged up for saying something beastly about Saudi's enlightened politics? Roll on Melbourne .

Well at least Q2 had a bit of a surprise in it, lets see what Q3 can throw up.

The FIA cover themselves in excrement again. 35 laps to decide a penalty is ludicrous.
Very impressed with how Alonso took the news.
Am I the only one who thinks Bernie Collins is an absolute 'find' as Sky's new pundit?

Certainly not Steve, a breath of fresh air, absolutely brilliant but it doesn't take much looking at the others.
