SIMPLE GUIDE TO CLASS STRUCTURE
Classes 1 to 5 are within the Road-Going Specialist Production Car Category. Classes 6 & 7 are within the Modified Specialist Production Car Category
While this guide gives a simplistic view of the classes please refer to the full regulations for the details.
CLASS 1
This class is designed for any standard Lotus or Caterham 7 and falls within the Motorsport UK rules for Road Car - Specialist Production
- Engine size up to 1600cc,
- Gearbox : 4 or 5 Speed
- Engine Type : Any normally aspirated car engine or the 3 cylinder turbocharged Suzuki 660cc engine as fired to the Caterham 160, 165 and 170 models.
- Tyres : Motorsport UK List 1A
- Power : Up to 130 BHP
- Driver Aids : None
- FHR : Optional
- Windscreen : Standard or Aero
- ROPS : MSA Rollbar + Petty Strut or Full Cage
- Documents : V5, MOT, Road Tax, Road Insurance
Typical Standard Models : Seven 160, Classic, Academy, Roadsport 125, Tracksport 125
CLASS 2
The class is designed for standard Lotus or Caterham 7 and falls within the Motorsport UK rules for Road Car - Specialist Production.

CLASS 3
