There's very little grass available at Donington for camping.
There's a marshals' campsite up and to the left from the entrance, but it's not very big. I've snuck in there at race meetings and nobody's complained, but if a whole bunch of obviously-not-marshals turned up to camp there I think there would be words spoken.
Having spoken to MSV head office late last week, yesterday afternoon I received a message from the DP Circuit Manager.
Sadly he confirmed that DP only open up 'in circuit grounds' camping for very large events, for example British Superbikes etc. He has asked for a week to see if he can arrange some alternative solution that can be offered to members. I understand DP has commercial ties with a variety of local service providers particularly when setting up facilities for the annual Download Festival, so we'll have to see what he can come up with.
Clearly I understand that folks may want to get booked up as soon as possible and I have found a site just to the south of Melbourne village which may be of interest. See below
Brilliant
Will we also catch up on the WightBlat too??
No idea what to write here??!!!

Between which parties?

Whoever looked at what's on in the area that weekend.
Ian - this is not our (the Club's) event so comments about comms and the timing of it on here are likely misplaced!
Brilliant that Rog N is just volunteering his local knowledge to help Club members get sorted.

Agreed, the mess up seems to be with Caterham & Donnington website
Weekend ticket purchased, don't forget the Club discount code, very worthwhile. Hotel booked a few miles away.
Should be a great weekend, one not to be missed
